Staff and service was excellent. We were originally staying at the Abbey Apartments in Roma Street, the place was horrible!! So walking into the Mantra was beautiful. Staff were quick to accommodate us and were lovely throughout our stay. The restaurant down stairs was a bonus

    Good

Check in and check out were hassle free.

Too far from the city centre for my particular circumstances.

Had to load all my luggage on the trolley that i had to get myself as i got out of the taxi whilst staff just stood around and watched me. Felt it a very unfriendly place to stay. Hard to get decent food to eat for dinner no breakfast available except for room service. Wouldn't stay there again.

    Fabulous

Helpful staff Central location a short walk to river

The toilet wasn't cleaned properly the Queen bed was really two single beds together I couldn't upgrade my room to an empty apartment across the hall with a view of the river unless I paid a lot more money than necessary Restaurant was closed because it was Good Friday Very Difficult to find because it is not actually on Queen but on a tiny back lane

Value for money, not the most modern room, but everything you could want for a weekend break, sink, fridge, tea making, toaster...plenty of tea/coffee. spotlessly clean. high floor so no noise at all..

the car park. Unbelievably tight for any car larger than mini. Extremely bad concrete pillars to weave in and out of, and it was my husband who was parking , who I consider to be an extremely competent driver!.

Good location, including proximity to supermarket, photographic views, and the layout of the apartment was very functional.

Misled re information about my request for twin beds for myself and my adult daughter, with the response when queried "Well, do you want to check in?", And "You booked through an agent, so you'll have to phone them if you have a problem" - it was 8.30 am on a Sunday morning, and I'd made the booking in Melbourne. Fortunately, another staff member suggested an additional single bed in the bedroom rather than having to pull out the couch every night in the lounge. The couch was very uncomfortable to sit on as the base had become sunken in the middle - it needs to be repaired or replaced, (Room 1407). a plug for the kitchen sink would have been useful for washing dishes rather thn use the dishwasher every time. Greasy film around stove top

    Superb

Great location, very helpful staff, wonderful hotel all round. Will definitely stay there again.

    Very good

The hotel is located around 700 m from Central Station and it was an easy walk along Ann St to reach it. The staff were very pleased to store my luggage prior to the check in time and again after I had checked out, before I boarded my flight. The room was quite spacious and had a microwave, small kitchen sink, cutlery and bowls. There is a Woolworths opposite the hotel, so I was able to self-cater my breakfasts. Finally, the loan of an umbrella after I had checked out was very much appreciated.

    1. When approaching from Central Station the entrance is very confusing. The sign seems to point into the rib/beef restaurant downstairs. Although it may be possible to walk through the restaurant, this is very confusing on arrival. Better sign posting from Ann St is definitely needed. I only found my way in because a man pointed it out; he told me that he often found lost Mantra guests on that corner. 2. The hotel staff on 04 and 05 and morning of 06 Oct were very helpful, especially the ladies working on the 4th and the morning of the 6th. Unfortunately, the afternoon shift of the 6th left me with bad feeling. The lady that fetched my bag for me was sullen and never once spoke a single word to me. Even though I have checked out, I am still a potential future customer.

    Good

I liked the fact that you could open the balcony door for fresh air instead of air conditioning.

Not enough water came out of shower. Had to spend twice as long in shower as normal , hence not saving water at all. The big king size bed was not a real king bed but 2 singles put together, therefore when I lay diagonally I had a ridge sticking into me.

The location suited me, as close to city and South Bank. An easy walk to Queenstreet Mall and Central Station. The service was great and friendly. My rloom was very comfortable and clean. I would like to stay there when I visit Brisbane next year.

    Good

    the position,and cleanliness

we realise all apartments are individually owned ,so are of different standards.ours was very ordinary.with the main bedroom having the twin beds ,and the smaller bedroom had a double bed.there was not even a clock in that room.we felt not good enough for the $310 we had payed

Room was lovely, staff were helpful.

The rear entrance - was quite deceiving when driving from the front side

    Good

Walking distance to most things I was in Brisbane for

Did not meet my expectations based on description & photos. Tiny room. Not modern at all. I have paid less for a much nicer place to stay.
